Hello, my dear, awesome 2E'09!
After another 20minutes, we won't be in 2009 already, we'll be welcoming a new decade, and a new class.

I just want to let all of you know that I've enjoyed myself to the max with you all.
There might be some people, who after 2 years, still don't feel any attachment to this class.
But I beg to differ, all of you have given me so many awesome moments!
So I guess I just needed to thank all of you.

Next year, we'll be in a different class, different environment, different form teacher.
Whatever fun our new class is going to bring us, I hope y'all won't forget the times together, whether bright or dull, because I know for sure I won't.

Two days of holiday is gooooooood.

And hey hey,Darryl plans on organising a class outing to somewhere that has bowling,a chalet,KTV and I don't know what lah. Although that sotong head don't know where that place is,I am suspecting he is referring to the SAF club in Changi. Freakishly expensive. But good thing that he's rich aye?

Went to collect our class tees today.

The shirt is quite amazing,considering all the procrastination and last-minute work.

Yellow and black!

We're going to be distributing the shirts on Monday in class. Those people who haven't paid yet wouldn't be getting their shirts though. (Ahem,cough,Nicholas,Fangyi,Jamie,Mr Neo.) I can't remember who else didn't pay. Must refer to the paper again.

Anyways,as I said,the shirt is amazing. BUT. It is well...

Kind of small.

Hopefully,as according to Jiamin,the shirt will expand after washing it.

Happy Mothers' Day.
Hope you guys get to spend quality time with your moms cause it kind of sucks to have your mom away during Mothers' Day,I'll give you my word on that.

Anyways,I came across these stories,and I just decided to share them,so as to keep this blog alive and kicking.

Story one:

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said,'I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you.'

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my mother, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie.
'What's wrong, are you well?' she asked. My Mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.

'I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you,' I responded,'just the two of us.' She thought about it for a moment, and then said, 'I would like that very much.'

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary.She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel's. 'I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed,' she said, as she got into the car. 'They can'twait to hear about our meeting.'

We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My Mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only read large print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mother sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. 'It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,' she said. 'Then it's time that you relax and let mereturn the favor,' I responded.

During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation nothing extraordinary but catching up on recent events of each other's life. We talked so much that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said, 'I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.' I agreed.

'How was your dinner date?' asked my wife when I got home. 'Very nice, much more so than I could have imagined,' I answered.

A few days later, my Mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have a chance to do anything for her. Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place Mother and I had dined. An attached note said: 'I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me. I love you, son.'

Story 2:

My mom only had one eye. I hated her... She was such an embarrassment.

She cooked for students and teachers to support the family.
There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me? I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school one of my classmates said, 'EEEE, your mom only has one eye!' I wanted to bury my head in the ground and cry. I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said, ' If you're only gonna make me a laughing stock, why don't you just die?'

My mom did not respond... I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger. I was oblivious to her feelings. I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her.. So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study. Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts.

One day, my mother came to visit me. She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her grandchildren. When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited. I screamed at her, 'How dare you come to my house and scare my children! GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!' And to this, my mother quietly answered, 'Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,' and she disappeared out of sight.

Some time later, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity. My neighbors said that she died. I did not shed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have:

My dearest son,

I think of you all the time.

I'm sorry that I came to your house and scared your children.
I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you.

I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.

You see, when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with one eye. So I gave you mine.I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.

Because,simply,I am tired about discussing it.
We're going to finally do it this Saturday and I am bloody excited because all the procrastination is over.

So,today was the finals for most of the running events.
Very very proud to say that we've won a lot of trophies!

Yanzhang: 200m sprint C-boys (GOLD), Long Jump C-boys (SILVER) (Pervertic eh? Yes yes,I know...)

Be glad, it's 8pm, I haven't had dinner yet and I'm here posting for you all ._.

So yeah, the post below is the class tee design.
We're still using back Qianhui's 2e logo for the back (it looks weird cause we can't computerize it), but except, we've added the nicknames (informal names, whatever) below our formal names.
And added a "one big family".

I KNOW THE FRONT LOOKS WEIRD TOO D:
(slaps self for the bad computer skills.)
Hey I drew that speech bubble myself okay!
The front is STILL THE SAME, except that the speech bubble is inverted and I enlarged the register number's font.
So yeah, if it's not okay, I'll invert it back again (back, so that the speech bubble faces left instead of the current right).

We can choose our nicknames ourselves, but we have to standardize the word "The" as the first word.
Like, Corrina's, The Super Hero, or Huailong's, The big Tiko.
Understand?

Oh yeah and, this weekend (most likely saturday), Liren and gang (the usual people, Liren, Yanzhang, Darryl, Huailong, Zhuangpeng and some others) would be going to Queensway to find supplier and order the shirt for us.
Anyone else wants to go?

Storyline;
G-dragon (the horribly hot guy with white cap at the beginning) and Min Young (the female lead) are a couple. But Min Young has a terminal disease and seeked help from G-dragon's best friend, TOP (that cool, punkish guy with eyeliner) to pretend to be her boyfriend in order to make G-dragon hate her (which is, I might add, a very stupid way). G-dragon fell for the trick and did not know Min Young was sick up till her last moments where TOP decided to tell G-dragon the truth by calling him. (I think thats why G-dragon is running in the hospital at the end and TOP is passing him the ring)

Dramatic storyline, but the song is addictive alright.
G-dragon is so cute.

The class tee colours and stuff has been decided on already.

Badge with logo,collarless,dry-fit black jersey with gold words.

The design,well,I don't know,maybe we should just let Mabel,Qianhui and all the other designing people to discuss and decide for us. We can't afford to waste any time already. The year will pass us by very soon. We need everything ready by the end of this month if not we will not be having any class tees.

Anyways,I would wish to beseech you not to disturb all those people who are doing the design,give them pressure or ask to see how the design looks like. They are all working very hard right now,and it would be greatly appreciated if you all would just accept and trust their design without any complains.

By the way,we're meeting at Little India mrt station at 1pm on Saturday 14th February to visit Huailong.

There's a suggestion that we visit him this Saturday 14th February at KK (Children's) Hospital. The time is not set yet,however,this outing would most probably be in the afternoon.

Our class tee shall be collarless and dry-fit. Colour-wise,it has not been decided on yet as according to Jiamin,although half of the class opted for navy and gold,there was a debate on the colours itself again.
